The Barats' Sense of Snow -- Second Wave

After the second snowstorm... it took the better part of a morning to get the driveway clean (again).

Even after we had cleared away the dogs' "potty spot," Harry wanted to go exploring. His efforts were futile...

... so we dug a trench and created a crater in the middle of the back yard (OK, it was mostly a place to dump the extra snow, but the dogs don't have to know that).

We're taking bets on when we'll again see green grass that we haven't uncovered ourselves.

That is an insane amount of snow for what we usually see. And I so can relate to having to create a doggy "potty-zone". That is the first thing to be shoveled, before the stoop, the sidewalk, the driveway, everything! Oh, and don't know about you up there, but we're looking for yet more on Monday evening. Oh, goody. Kathryn doesn't have school again tomorrow. Certain schools in Fairfax County, ours included have actually resorted to emailing parents to come help dig out the space/additional space they need for parking, etc.

Chuck,

We lucked out here -- only a dusting last night. Down in Baltimore city, however, many side streets have STILL not been plowed.
